Community Engagement Policy The community engagement policy of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center is based on an approach and foundation that respects human rights, ethical principles, individual differences, the environment, and local and cultural values, while embracing the principle of equality.
In this context, our community engagement policy is as follows:
Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Oral and Dental Health Practice and Research Center:
- Produces new knowledge, products, and services aimed at solving oral and dental health problems that affect society;
- Conducts original and innovative research and develops methods in the field of oral and dental health to deliver effective and high-quality public services, as well as to contribute to public health;
- Develops mechanisms for utilizing all research outputs produced in units such as university-industry, university-public, university-private sector collaborations, and structures like the Technology Transfer Office and Technopark, both for the benefit of community oral and dental health and in alignment with university interests;
- Organizes training programs for the personal development of the center's internal and external stakeholders and to meet community needs, and implements social responsibility projects, prioritizing disadvantaged groups and reaching different segments of society—such as children, women, the disabled, and the elderly—through the faculty’s resources, competencies, and expertise;
- Encourages the involvement of all faculty members and staff, who possess extensive knowledge, education, and experience in their fields, along with students, in generating community impact; follows the necessary processes to reveal and increase existing potential in order to implement planned activities and services;
- Adopts an approach to community engagement that is sensitive to cultural and environmental concerns.
