It is a branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the pulp and periapical tissues and the etiology, physiology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment of these diseases. Root canal treatment is the main field of study in teeth where the vitality of the tooth cannot be preserved or which have lost their vitality due to infection. The purpose of root canal treatment is to relieve pain in painful teeth, which are the reasons for patients to apply to the dentist urgently, and to apply treatments that allow the problematic teeth to remain in the mouth.
