Periodontology (Gum Diseases) Clinic

When teeth are not brushed regularly, the food residues that accumulate on and between them create a suitable environment for bacteria to multiply and form an organized structure called plaque.
These puree-like deposits, which we call bacterial plaque, are the main culprits of tooth decay and gingivitis, and over time, they form tartar as a result of the sedimentation of saliva. Tartar can cause gum recession and loss of support bone around the tooth, which can cause loosening and inflammation of the teeth. In our clinic, diseases related to the gums are treated.

What are the characteristics of healthy gums?
It is light pink in color and its texture is shiny and rough like an orange peel,
It does not bleed with normal brushing,
There is no redness or swelling,
It is firmly attached to the tooth and bone,
It follows the necks of the teeth and is in a regular shape.
