An orientation program was held at our Center on August 31, 2026, in collaboration with the BEUN Faculty of Dentistry, for 4th-year students who will undergo face-to-face, bedside clinical training during this term.

The training program aimed to help students adapt to the clinical training process and familiarize them with key considerations for clinical practice. During the session, Dean Prof. Dr. Baran Can SAĞLAM and Deputy Center Director Prof. Dr. Sevinç AKTEMUR TÜRKER provided a general overview regarding the conduct of clinical practice courses, the rules students must follow, and important points to observe.

As part of the orientation, Lecturer Dr. Nigar AK TÜRKİŞ from the BEUN Ahmet Erdoğan Vocational School of Health Services (Oral and Dental Health Program) provided training on the correct use of personal protective equipment, measures to reduce the risk of transmission during treatment, and essential protocols for sterilization and disinfection. Kaan ELİÇORA explained the proper use of dental units through both theoretical instruction and practical demonstration, while Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Specialist Şengül AKSU conducted the Basic Occupational Health and Safety training. Additionally, Burçin SÖYLEMEZ GÜMÜŞALAN from TURCASOFT provided information on the Hospital Information Management System (HBYS) that students will use for patient care in the clinics.
