Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University Faculty of Dentistry and Dental Hospital is expanding its physical capacity in order to meet the increasing health needs of the region and to provide faster and higher quality service to the demands of students and academic staff. In the hospital, which has been providing service in a building with a closed area of ​​8,145 m² since 2014, construction of an additional floor has been started in order to respond more effectively to the increasing health and education demands.

The hospital provides oral and dental health services to an average of 145,000 patients annually with 8 clinics and 129 units, while also hosting undergraduate and specialist dentistry education in 8 Departments and 7 clinics. The hospital, which is one of the important tertiary health institutions in the Western Black Sea Region (Zonguldak, Bartın, Karabük and surrounding provinces) in the field of oral and dental health, makes a great contribution to the people of the region in terms of both service and education.

With the new floor project initiated on the targets of strengthening the physical capacity in line with the requirements of the age and fully equipped; Additional treatment areas equipped with modern medical devices will be created, a 20% increase will be provided in the treatment unit capacity and patient satisfaction will be further increased by reducing appointment times.

Cooling Systems Are Being Renewed

In order to improve the increasing patient density and working conditions in the summer months, it is aimed to strengthen the existing cooling systems and modernize the air conditioning infrastructure in the building. With the commissioning of new technology cooling group devices, a healthier and more comfortable environment will be provided both in the treatment areas and in the working environments.

Both the increasing patient demand and the increase in the number of students have made it necessary for the current physical structure to produce a service above its capacity. For this reason, we aim to increase our service quality, reach more patients and ensure that our students receive education in more qualified environments with the addition of a floor to our building. In addition, we are increasing patient and employee comfort with the air conditioning system renovation we have carried out in the building. These improvements are a reflection of our University's vision of quality in health. All these studies have been planned by prioritizing patient and employee safety, and as Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, our determination to increase our service capacity in the field of health and to provide higher standards of health services to the region continues.
